The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) has over 800 employees and has successfully participated in over 1.200 research projects. It produces over 260 publications per year and is among the top 20 research centers in the EU with the highest participation in FP7 projects, while it has 206 H2020 projects today. In the PreConAgri project, CERTH will participate through the Institute of Bio-Economy and Agro-Technology, specializing in smart agriculture, agritech, robotics, and automation in agriculture.

The Institute’s expertise in programming for finding optimal routes within and outside agricultural plots, combined with the experience in reducing inputs (fertilization, plant protection, irrigation) through precision agriculture methods, enables iBO to plan and conduct an agricultural experimentation at a pilot level within the scope of this specific action plan.

SARF UTH represents all research activities of the Faculties, Departments, and Laboratories of the University of Thessaly.

In the PreConAgri project, the University of Thessaly will be represented by the Laboratory of Agricultural Machinery of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, founded in 1995, focusing on crop mechanization issues, particularly the implementation of sustainable soil tillage systems, agricultural equipment management, agricultural machinery testing, precision agriculture applications, biomass utilization, creating models for managing plant residues etc.

Hellenic Association for Promotion of Conservation Agriculture (HACA) is a scientific association established in 2002 with the aim of promoting sustainable agriculture in Greece. The main activities of the Association include encouraging and promoting scientific research and education, as well as developing and implementing informational programs on sustainable agricultural systems.

HACA is an official member of the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF) and it is responsible for coordinating communication, collaboration, and information exchange among individuals and organizations.

The AGROMET company is a provider of agricultural equipment and rural services. Some of the products it offers are manufactured by the largest Precision Agriculture group, Trimble company.

Although AGROMET is a newly established company, its members have extensive experience in the agricultural sector. Adding to this, the representation of top companies in the field (Trimble, Pessl Instruments, MC Elettronica) by AGROMET in the Greek market, it is evident that its presence in the agro-nutritional sector is already significant.

The producer Lampropoulos Charisios has been involved in the agri-food sector since 2016 and he is a professional farmer, mainly cultivating durum wheat, barley and rapeseed.

The Agricultural Cooperative of Nikaia has been active since 1935 in managing agricultural production and today it operates a farm supply store, warehouses for the collection of agricultural products on behalf of producers, meanwhile it handles their marketing. Additionally, it runs a cereal and legumes products production facility. It collaborates with agri-food industries such as the Athens Brewery, the pasta production company “Melissa” and engages in cereal seed production, both for personal use and on behalf of the “Andriotis” company.
